CADFA and Cafe Palestina - sister organisations- work together on this course. Café Palestina has been running Arabic classes for the past three years. Our excellent Arabic teacher is in charge of the language aspect of this course. The visit to Palestine is co-ordinated by CADFA, human rights charity , which has been running frequent visits between the UK and Palestine for sixteen years including a real Arabic-learning visit to Palestine in summer 2019 and a recent virtual visit, Arabic in Palestine. These went very well and seemed so useful that we have rewritten this into a special style of Arabic course

Plan for the course Each week;

· Saturday 5.30-6.30, group time; 7-8.30 Arabic with Alaa

· Tuesday 6-7.30, virtual Palestine; 8-9 Arabic with Palestinian language partnetrs.

Group time - focus for the course as a whole.

Arabic – the course will focus on spoken Palestinian dialect.

Language partners - based in Palestine - will work under guidance from our Arabic teacher.

Virtual Palestine will allow you to "see" different places in Palestine, meet people people young and old, men and women, and learn about the life, culture and the current situation of people there. We have an interesting and varied programme set up for this first one based in Abu Dis in the Jerusalem suburb.
